SAMET3/2: Sea Kayak Expedition Koh Samet

The Expedition can be adapted to be used as a Bronze level adventurous journey or extended for Silver/Gold IYA programs. It can also be adapted to fulfill requirements for Community service and skills development for other similar awards.
If required for IYA qualification, one member of the Wild Planet Staff will act as an independent assessor for the trip.

KT 7/6: Koh Tao Discover Scuba

Our programs on Koh Tao are all marine based from basic learn to dive to full reef study programs and instructor training courses. Everything is based though our sister company and dive specialist arm Planet Scuba teaching internationally accredited SSI courses.

Koh Tao is most definitely unique both above and below the water and has a very much western sensibility. Programs run for students in Koh Tao see us use either our own guest house (Pier 24) or resorts booked privately. Students are supervised when not diving by our team.

MK5/4: Muang Khong Cave and Rafting Adventure

A combination of adventure and fieldwork within the Muang Khong valley.
Locations include Tham Kii Mii cave, the limestone climbing pitches of Doi Khii Mii, crossing and team building exercises on the Mae Teng river and the forests and jungles of Doi Chang Dao nature reserve.
There is flexibility within the program to balance the adventure and fieldwork to suit all curriculums.

MK5/4 Mae Teng Descent

The Chiang Dao & Mae Taeng valleys are in the North Eastern part of Chiang Mai Province, almost 100 kilometres north of Chiang Mai city and encompass some of the country’s most spectacular scenery.
This program is a journey starting upriver and descending after training down into the Mae Teng valley close to where the river joins the Ping river to continue its journey to the sea.

MT5/4 Lower Mae Teng Valley Adventure

The Chiang Dao & Mae Taeng valleys are in the North Eastern part of Chiang Mai Province, almost 100 kilometres north of Chiang Mai city and encompass some of the country’s most spectacular scenery.
This program is designed to introduce the students to the region via the use of water and land-based activities placing them in an environment they may or may not have experienced before. Journeying is introduced as are camp and outdoor skills. Students stay in tents, hill tribe houses and finish in a resort on the last night

Kaeng Krachan was declared as a national park on 12 June 1981. Covering an area of 2914 km² it is the largest national park in Thailand. The park is located in Phetchaburi and Prachuap Khiri Khan Provinces, bounded by the Tanintharyi Nature Reserve along Myanmar’s border to the west. NAN6/5: Nam Wa River Descent

The Untamed Nam Wa River is located in the province of Nan in the remote Northeast of Thailand. Although Nan has been accessible to foreign tourists for several years, it is one of the least visited areas and offers visitors a unique taste of untouched Thai culture and rural life. The Nam Wa River was first run by us over 15 years ago and although seeing more rafters now is still relatively unspoilt due to the out of the way location and the effort required to see it.

MK 6/5: Chiang Mai Caving and Community Outreach

For this expedition we loop behind Doi Chiang Dao peak to the Muang Kong valley. Once entering the valley (where the road ends).
We trek from our base camp into the forest reserve and take the opportunity to explore Tham Khi Mi cave which is a 1.9 km long passage transecting all the way though a hilltop. Students will have chance to observe and pass though a number of classic caving formations as they complete the passage though the hill.
The Outreach project will be carried out within the Muang Khong valley and encompass work with both the local community and schools

The program is designed to introduce the students to the coastal area via the use of water and rope-based activities placing them in an environment they may or may not have experienced before. The activity area is situated just past Hua Hin in Pranburi beach based close to a marine park with mangrove boardwalk.
