The Nam Wa is a river that has regularly spaced white water of between grade 2 and 4 down most of the expedition length. The whitewater sections are interspersed with grade 2 moving water allowing rests relaxation and the opportunity to get off the raft, swim and cool down.
Students are expected to help with the camping, preparation of meals, packing and unpacking of the rafts.
Raft teams are given camp duties on a rotational basis thought the expedition.
Activities within this program include: Navigation, trekking, and a self supported white water raft descent of the Nam Wa river
NOTE: Some activities are dependent on weather and may require changes on the day according to site conditions & dynamic Risk Assessment
This program can be combined with outreach programs fro a longer trip. As an expedition it lends it self to sliver or gold level depending on level of support provided by Wild Planet.
The Nam Wa is Thailands best Whitewater river.
